Ian Boyan is in his second season with the New York State Ballet. He joined the Delaware Dance Alliance at age 14 and has performed roles in Twilight Ballet, Pirates of the Caribbean and Duke Ellington Nutcracker Suite. He attended the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School’s full time pre-professional program on full scholarship. With the New York State Ballet, he has played Door Mouse in Alice in Wonderland, performed the roles of peasant, reindeer and courtier in Snow Queen, performed as a guard in Carmen, danced in NYSB’s original productions of Carmina Burana and Dracula, and performed in The Nutcracker as the Prince, appeared in the New York State Ballet’s original productions of Mozart’s Requiem as Mozart and as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro.
