
ALEXANDRA BRYDSTEN

Alexandra is a professional ballet dancer who recently moved back to the states with her family after 21 years of dancing with the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm, Sweden. During her tenure with the Royal Swedish Ballet, Alexandra danced such principle roles as: Lotta in THE NUTCRACKER, female lead in George Balanchine’s THEME AND VARIATIONS, Olga in ONEGIN, as well as soloist roles in SWAN LAKE, SLEEPING BEAUTY, GISELLE, COPPELIA, William Forsythe’s IN THE MIDDLE SOMEWHAT ELEVATED and Nils Christie’s IN SYNC. Alexandra has been fortunate enough throughout her career to have worked with such renowned choreographers as: Natalia Makarova, Nils Christie, William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Nacho Duato, Bruce Wells and Jurgen Schneider. Since retiring in 2013, Alexandra has been very successful in running her own business where she specializes in Pilates and Redcord training for strengthening, conditioning and rehabilitation. Alexandra ’s focus is working with dancers on strengthening and re-sculpting their bodies to better cope with the strenuous activity that a dancer’s body endures. She has created unique exercises both on the floor and in the Redcord apparatus which is suspension training equipment that dancers can use as a tool in developing the proper muscles they need to achieve their individual goals as healthy and strong dancers.
