DR. JARED CHASE
Music Director
​
Jared Chase is a professional conductor, trumpet performer, and associate professor of music on the faculty of Nazareth College and the music director of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford. He has extensive experience conducting professional orchestras, opera, musical theater, ballet, wind ensemble and choir throughout the United States and Canada. As a trumpeter, he continues to be an active freelance performer and has performed with professional orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the US. He has led the New York State Ballet in performances of Carmen, Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Requiem and The Marriage of Figaro, as well as the annual Nutcracker performances. Later this season he will conduct a ballet of music by Gershwin. Dr. Chase received degrees in music education and trumpet performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He received his Master of Music in trumpet performance and Doctorate of Musical Arts in conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Chase has taught at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Bethany College, Central State University and the Eastman School of Music.
