Janet wentling

Professional Dance Instructor​

 

Originally from Los Angeles, Janet received her earliest training in The Royal Academy of Dance method. She went on to study with such luminaries as Royes Fernandez, Benjamin Harkarvy, Stanley Holden, Loyce Houlton, Daniel Job, Bonnie Mathis, Lupe Serrano, Anatole Vilzak, Stephan Wenta, Natalia Zolotova, and others.

 

Janet has performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet, the San Francisco Ballet, Carlos Carvajal’s San Francisco Dance Spectrum, and Loyce Houlton’s Minnesota Dance Theatre where she portrayed numerous roles in both classical and contemporary ballet.

 

Janet has been on faculty at the Minnesota Dance Theatre School, Ballet Arts Minnesota, Pacific Northwest Ballet School and the University of Minnesota Dance Department. She has worked as rehearsal assistant for both the Pacific Northwest Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet’s productions of The Nutcracker.

 

Janet completed the syllabus course training of the Pacific Northwest Ballet School under Francia Russell and Kent Stowell, and was a recipient of the Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant to explore dance education internationally.
